Powers Hill Tree Removal: Part 2

Rainfall this week has made flooding a concern in Gettysburg and the surrounding Adams County. The rain has closed roads, schools, and hasn’t allowed for many opportunities to take pictures. Luckily we were able to stop by Powers Hill this Sunday, before the bad weather began. We’ll take a walk to show you the latest progress in this rehabilitation effort.

While we were in the area, we decided to take a look at the five acres of property recently transferred to the National Park Service (after being purchased by the Civil War Preservation Trust). This view was taken facing northeast at approximately 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 4, 2011.
