Blue and Gray Recycling on South Confederate Avenue

It was a busy Saturday in Gettysburg National Military Park. Buses and cars lined the avenues around Little Round Top and Devil’s Den.This view was taken facing west at approximately 4:45 PM on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.

This picture of the picnic area was taken earlier in the week. There were more than a few cars parked here today. This afternoon’s temperature reached 73 degrees.This view was taken facing southwest at approximately 4:45 PM on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.

Outside the picnic area along South Confederate Avenue are some logs from a tree the National Park Service has cut down. The park removed more than a hundred trees from the battlefield this winter.
