North Gettysburg Trail Project Delayed

Construction delays due to storms and moving utility poles has set the completion date for the North Gettysburg Trail project back 30 days. It is now projected to be completed by the end of October.

We’re looking towards the town of Gettysburg near the Borough line on the Old Harrisburg Road. This view was taken facing southwest at approximately 5:50 PM on Wednesday, September 14, 2011.

The unfinished section of sidewalk that comprises this portion of the trail still needs poured, but little else has happened since our last update. This view was taken facing south at approximately 5:50 PM on Wednesday, September 14, 2011.

The only other interesting development to come with the news of this delay is along this northernmost portion of the trail. Gettysburg Area High School is out of sight behind the trees in the center background. This view was facing north at approximately 5:50 PM on Wednesday, September 14, 2011.
