Sickles Witness Fence Work Begins Again With New Contractor



Work on the Sickles Witness Fence that separates the National Cemetery from Evergreen Cemetery has been at a standstill for much of the summer. This view was taken facing southeast at approximately 5:30 PM on Monday, August 31, 2009.

Work on the Sickles Witness Fence began again this week. The previous contractor did not perform to the National Park Service’s requirements. The National Park Service then stopped the project, and put the work out for bid again.
