National Cemetery Comfort Station Open

We’ve had some computer troubles this week (for those of you looking for our final installments of the NPS winter lecture series, we’re afraid you’ll have to wait until next week), so we came out on a fairly chilly morning today to take these photos. It was around 30 degrees this morning when we arrived at the cemetery, walking under the holly trees to reach the comfort station. This view was facing east at approximately 8:45 AM on Friday, March 30, 2012.

One of the major reasons for updating this 1920s-era structure was that it lacked heating, meaning that if you visited the cemetery in the winter and needed a restroom, this structure was often closed. This view was taken facing east at approximately 8:45 AM on Friday, March 30, 2012.
