First, you SHOULD purchase your all-in-one ticket at the Ticketing/Reservation Counter, and hope that you are actually able to see all the venues for which you’re purchasing a ticket. Don’t check your watch in disbelief, as the man is doing on the right, in case you are told that you’re purchasing a ticket at 9:30 AM for a Cyclorama show at 3:00 PM. On a previous post, we showed visitors how to get into the Gettysburg Museum without paying the new fee which had previously never been charged for the artifacts in this collection. This was probably very bad of us. So today, we will make it up to the Foundation by showing you how NOT to get into the Museum for free.

When you approach the Museum, make sure that you have tunnel vision, and are only focused on the ticket taker by the doors under the words, “Gettysburg Museum of the American Civil War.” This view was taken from the southeast facing northwest at approximately 9:15 AM on Sunday, October 5, 2008.

These are the sets of doors which we showed you on the previous post about getting into the museum that we probably shouldn’t have shown you. You know, the post where you come in the doors on the right (Exit Doors) and come towards the two doors on the left. Because from whatever direction you come to these doors, they open when you put your hands on the handles and turn them. Then the guilt will overwhelm you because you’ll be standing in the museum. Remember you can’t take advantage just because nobody is taking tickets at any of these entrances that I’m not showing you.
