Gettysburg’s Oak Ridge Tower Panorama for June



Here is a panorama from southeast corner of the observation tower on Oak Ridge taken on June 6, 2009. On the left the camera is pointing to the northeast and on the right of the view the camera is pointing to the southwest. For a larger view, click on the image. As part of our continuing series showing different panoramas on the Gettysburg Battlefield, today we are showing you the view from the Oak Ridge Tower. In the left foreground is the Mummasburg Road. The William McClean House and Barn (occupied by a tenant during the battle) are on the far left. At the far right is Doubleday Avenue and the monument to the 12th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment.
