As part of our continuing series showing different panoramas on the Gettysburg Battlefield, today we are showing you the view from the Oak Ridge Tower. In the left foreground is the Mummasburg Road. The William McClean House and Barn (occupied by a tenant during the battle) are on the far left. At the far right is Doubleday Avenue and the monument to the 12th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment.
On the left the camera is pointing to the northeast and on the right of the view the camera is pointing to the southwest. For the larger JPEG version click here, or you can download the uncompressed TIFF file (30.2 MB) here. This view was taken at approximately 2:45 PM on Friday, August 7, 2009.
