Final Day for the Railroad Cut Bridge



The bridge over the railroad cut. The monument to the 95th New York Infantry Regiment is closest to the cut, and the monument to the 6th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment is to the left of the 95th New York. This view was taken from the east facing west at approximately 2:30 PM on Sunday March 16, 2008.

The bridge over the railroad cut, west of town is to be no more. The Gettysburg Daily took pictures today, its final day, as tomorrow, Monday, March 17th, work will begin to replace it. The work is scheduled to be finished by Friday, May 9th.
