Temperatures in the last week at Gettysburg have been consistently in the 90s. Though we just showed you our Little Round Top panorama for June, we thought you’d like to see just how difficult it can be to see objects in the haze created by this summer’s heat. The South Mountain range is completely obscured in the background of this week’s panorama. The left side of the photograph is pointing to the south and southwest. The center is pointing to the west, and the right is pointing to the northwest and north.
