This drawing shows what the area of the Lincoln statue plaza will look like after it is dedicated at the Gettysburg National Park Service Visitor Center on November 19, 2009, the 146th anniversary of Lincoln’s Gettysburg’s Address.

Work continues on the Lincoln Statue Plaza at the Gettysburg National Military Park Visitor Center. The dedication day is November 19, 2009, the 146th anniversary of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address.



We’ll take a walk around the new Lincoln plaza area, first as we approach from parking lot #1. This view was taken facing northwest at approximately 4:30 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2009.



Vegetation is being planted along the sidwalks in an effort not only for aesthetics, but to solve a drainage problem along the main sidewalk. This view was taken facing northwest at approximately 4:30 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2009.
